Best hotpot place in NYC🍲

#Hotpot is trending this season due to the cold weather and there are many different restaurants serving different type of hotpots. The question is: Which place is the best that can offer a unique experience with great food choices? Over the weekend, my cousin and I went to brunch at #99 Favor Taste for their amazing hotpot.

Pros: Served both hotpot and BBQ, authentic food & soup base options, featured two sauce stations with a variety of dipping sauce, free desserts (2 choices of tong sui), spacious setting with 2 floors, offer individual hotpot (optional choice to get a small individual pot instead of sharing a big pot with your group), accept reservations, friendly service and tech-savvy (earn points for free drinks and birthday freebies through the QR Code reader app).

We ordered fuzhou #fish balls (fish balls with meats inside), beef, quail eggs, lamb, crabs, squids, fish tofu, straw mushrooms, and other veggies.
In terms of sauce, I would recommend trying the seafood pancake sauce and chive sauce.

Oscars Popcorn Party 🏆 🌽

We've been all waiting for the Oscars Award show tonight. Let's gear up some yummy popcorn and enjoy the show with your friends and family. If anyone looking for some exotic #popcorn flavors check out #Popkarma in the lower east side. I went there with a friend yesterday and they have some great popcorn flavors. Personally, I am not a big fan of popcorn but these popcorn totally took my breath away...amazingly good:p  We tried the #cajun, #kyoto mix and the #caramel. My favorite is the cajun one and it's not as spicy as I thought. The kyoto one tastes like seaweed and the caramel is the only sweet one we got. So yeah we got spicy, salty and sweet popcorn all together:)

Panna Cotta 🌸

Pretty Panna Cotta dish decorated like a flower ✿♥‿♥✿

It was my friend's birthday and we went to dinner in this little italian place called Malatesta Trattoria around the west village area. The place was small but the food and drinks were amazingly great.

This is the best panna cotta I ever had in my life so far. If anyone looking for a pretty & yummy panna cotta dish you should definitely check out this hidden gem italian restaurant;-)

Tiramisu ♡

A well-made pretty tiramisu for dessert last ♡♡
One of my friends and I went to this nice Italian restaurant, #Davio's for dinner last night. The service was excellent and very accommodating. We both did the three course pre-fixe menu but I wasn't really impressed by their dessert options until I saw a server brought out a chocolate look a like cake that completely took my breath away lol We asked the server and we decided to upgrade our dessert to this pretty looking tiramisu. We love the chocolate, ice cream, and everything  about this dessert dish.

& Pepperoni Pretzel &

Filling and delicious afternoon snack....#pepperoni #pretzel from Auntie Anne's!

This is one of my favorite pretzels I have tried from Auntie Anne's so far. It definitely remind people of pizza with the taste of pepperoni and yummy cheeses:p
Personally I am not a big fan of pretzels but I would make an exception for pretzel like this one;)

RAMEN Burger 🍔 ( ˘▽˘)っ

I finally gotten a chance to check out this eatery called #Ramen Co. in the Financial District today. I believe they are the only place that sells ramen burger in the Manhattan borough.

I was so excited to try their burger and I ordered the Original one with their homemade chips. The ramen buns were chewy and a bit crispy. I also like the sauce they used in the burger.
For those who are not meat eaters, they have the tofu steak one (tofu patty)=D

Ethiopian food!

My first time trying Ethiopian food in this authentic restaurant called Queens of Sheba. The dining experience was quite different that you supposed to eat it with your hands instead of utensils. I honestly never been to a restaurant with no utensils provided and I found it unique. They provided hand sanitizer wipes so you can clean your hands first before you start eating. My friend and I ordered the Taste of Sheba Combination Sampler with both meats and veggies and it also came with injera (thin flatbread with spongy texture).

So... how do you eat it?

First off, you tear off pieces of injera then use each small piece of injera to scoop up the meat/and or veggies from the platter. Then finally you EAT:)

It is definitely a fun sharing plate with your group of friends.
I'm not sure if this restaurant provide any utensils if you request it but I wouldn't recommend using utensils because it will ruined the whole Ethiopian dining experience.
