Looking for a nice summer treat when you are craving for something sweet
and a bit filling? If you are planning to go to the Jenkinson's
boardwalk in jersey you should try one of their ice cream shops' waffle
sandwhich with gelato and topped with some sugar powder. The waffle
itself is freshly warm and crispy so you must eat it right away as soon
as you pick up your order otherwise the ice cream in the middle will be
melted easily.

Potadog
Introducing..Potadog! So what is potadog? It is a basically a corn dog
on a stick coated with french fries.I got my first potadog from
Hyonie's, a Jamaican and Korean fusion place. They also offered several
dipping sauces to go with the dog such as ketchup, mayo sauce, spicy
green sauce, etc. In my opinion, the sauces weren't too spicy and it
actually tasted better if you splash all their housemade sauces on the
potadog.

is a great portion for two people. The waffle cone comes with one
choice of snow, 2 toppings, whipped cream, a cherry and the waffle bowl.
This place served about 20 different flavors of shaved ice.

bite, I just couldn't stop eating it.Thursday, May 19, 2016
Thirsty Thursday
What's your favorite beverage?
If you're looking for something
refreshing and shareable check out Howl at the Moon's bucket drink. The
buckets filled with various alcohol and it came with colorful straws. It
is definitely notable in the restaurant. My friend and I ordered the
fruit roll up...so good:p
It is a great shareable drink for 3-4 people.Tuesday, May 17, 2016
Matcha Milk Latte
If you happen to go to LA especially the orange county area, you
must check out the Packing District if you like food? There's a new food
vendor opened called Mini Monster that served these cute big jar
drinks, ice cream and shaved snow.
The line was actually
quite long maybe because of the weekend. I got one of their jar drinks,
matcha milk latte and the good thing is you can keep the jar:)

Smoke-free bbq?
BBQ is all about grilling the meat but do you know there's a smoke-free
way to do it nowadays? If you never heard if it, check out this trendy
Korean bbq restaurant, Kristalbelli. They served great cocktails and
robust korean food. They are known for their crystal grill style bbq
which they used a high tech crystal grill to cook the meat in order to
reduce smoke and smell.

Raindrop Cake
Most people would asked "are they good" or "what is it?"
It is a Japanese dessert inspired by Mizu Shingen Mochi. The water cake itself has no taste because it is made out of water so that's why it accompanied with some brown sugar syrup and roasted soybean powder on the side. I have tried the cake over the weekend and personally I don't think it's really worth the money. It cost about $8 and paying for a piece of water jello made out of poland spring water is pretty steep. One thing to keep in mind: when you're eating the raindrop cake with syrup and roasted soybean powder make sure you don't breathe while you're eating it. The soybean powder is not very fine powder so you could get a bit choked if you don't swallow it thoroughly. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend for babies or kids but you can definitely feed them the raindrop cake without the soybean powder.
This
new dessert creation is certainly interesting. By judging the way it
looks, it could really attract people to come see it and questioning
what is it?
I
would give them credits for the most unique looking dessert but the
taste part doesn't really intrigued me. But one of the good things
about this dessert is that there is no calories if you only consume the
raindrop cake itself.

Elote
One of the popular Mexican street eats is Elote (corn on the cob).
My favorite condiments for the elote are chile pepper, salt, lemon juice
and bbq butter. I personally prefer grilled corns over steamed corns.
It is also one of my favorite street snacks when I'm outside and hanging
out with friends.

their house made caramel sauce, a nice vanilla crust, whipped cream, ice
cream and topped with a piece of cookie. For those who have a sweet
tooth, I would definitely recommend getting their coconut cream pie for
dessert.

fries coated with pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, freshly chopped pico de gallo and avocado. The burger itself is already a good size and it will definitely filled you up for the day.

Macarons served in a bamboo basket?
This is my first time seeing an assortment of macarons served in a round shaped steamer made from bamboo aka mushiki. If anyone interested in trying the asian style macarons you should definitely go check out this authentic Cantonese restaurant, Hakkasan located in Midtown west. They served great well mixed cocktails and yummy Cantonese cuisines. It is a bit dark inside but very romantic setting with modern Asian wall interior decoration. There are total of 7 macarons in the bamboo basket but it would be cool if they can do 7 different colors just like a rainbow;)

I

Spinach Dumplings!
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone
Guess
what I found in my neighborhood..Spinach dumplings! Mmmmh...green and
yummy:) The dumplings' wraps are made out of real spinach so no worries
about food coloring. I ventured to the Urbanspace Vanderbilt yesterday
to meet with some friends for happy hour. We walked and shopped around
bunch of food vendors and most of them make me mouth watering hehe
I
stopped by Hong Kong Street Cart because I was drawn to the green color
of the spinach dumplings and I decided to give it a try. It costed $5
for 4 pieces of dumplings but it was good and maybe because it's spinach
dumpling so I was willing to pay for it. I know some people think it's a
bit pricey for asian food because you can get cheap and yummy dumplings
in Chinatown for $1 for 4 or 5 dumplings. But anyway, this food cart
was great overall and they also served spinach noodles with peanut
sauce..mmmhhh!
